Before his death, Steve Jobs devoted a lot of time to the development of the iPhone 5. Rumors have it that the new iPhone 5 will be released and available in the year 2012, with spring time being a significant possibility because Apple generally releases its new iPads every year in the month of March. However, since Apple usually has a time gap of a year in between the releases of all the other iPhones, it is a great possibility that the iPhone 5 won’t be released until sometime at the end of of next year.
The iPhone 4 has been making huge sales and profits, so it does make sense for Apple to hold off on the release of the new iPhone 5. However, since Apple has been releasing a new edition of the iPhone every year, it is not unreasonable to say that the iPhone 5 will definitely be released next year at some point, despite the current success of the iPhone 4. Steve Jobs had put in more time and dedication to the design and creation of the iPhone 5 as opposed to the iPhone 4, as this newest edition would feature a complete re-design and style.
